KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 25 (Bernama) -- MyCreative Ventures, a government investment arm is hunting for the best BBQ cooks to compete in ‘Cookout’, a culinary arts competition to be held in March.
Cookout will be the first initiative by MyCreative Ventures which aims to celebrate BBQ enthusiasts and is open to Malaysians that have the passion for BBQ. In a statement, MyCreative Ventures said contestants are required to submit a brief overview of their food concept and details on its unique selling points, price points and story behind the food along with photos in a Microsoft PowerPoint, video or word format. “Those who are interested need to email their applications to [email protected] by March 10, and the Cookout finals and judging will be held during RIUH’s March 2019 edition on March 30 and 31. “The competition requires the food to be prepared on an open fire in true BBQ style. Cookout is open to new ideas and not limited to steaks, ribs or briskets,” it said. Top three winners will receive RM5,000, RM3,000 and RM2,000 respectively. RIUH is a curated creative platform that features a variety of pop-up stores and food, creative workshops, showcases and live performances. -- BERNAMA
